This is just beyond sad, and it is a testament to how our educational system is out of control. His age CANNOT be used as an excuse! Granted he might not be able to physically subdue these rowdy girls because of either protocols governing teacher conduct, or his own physical inability, but he could still call on other authorities, like the principal, or school security, which are pretty much ubiquitous nowadays, to quell the raucous. Yes, the girls should be punished for being out of line, but the substitute must be held accountable also because, on top of being charged with the task to teach, he is also expected, by virtue of his occupation, to remove any impediments to learning. Kids going out of control, and mocking him certainly does constitute an impediment to learning.
Of course culpability for this travesty and lack of discipline in the classroom also rests on the school system. If a teacher such as this one, lacks the ability or assertiveness to control his classroom, then the school system should have identified this problem early on and prohibited him from teaching. Many people might think that I am making a mountain out of a molehill, but this is very much a systemic and pervasive problem in our public schools, and it is a scene that I had witnessed time and time again when I was in public high school 12 years ago. Kids see no consequences to their action, and these girls especially could find refuge from any sort punishment, in this politically correct day and age, by playing the race card. This has got to stop, or our schools will no longer be a place to cultivate our best and brightest, but instead be breeding grounds for delinquents, harlots, and outright criminals. Education is more than just writing, reading and arithmetic; it’s about how to behave as well. We, for whatever reason, have lost the value of that last and most important component to education.

It does not anger me nor does it surprise me. It does disgust me and wonder what kind of home life those girls have to live in. The person filming this episode of complete lack of respect for others should have went and got help for the teacher instead of filming. It seemed to only goad the girls on to worse behaviour. As for the substitute teacher, he should not have allowed it to go on for as long as it did. He is ultimately responsible for what goes on in the classroom. If a teacher or sub-teacher cannot do this, they may not need to be in the classroom in the first place. As for the childish little girls in this film; they need to be suspended from school and the teacher should have filed assault charges against them. I guess you can tell that I do think of these girls as only little girls and not young women. Anyone can be vulgar and crass, it takes a woman or lady to do otherwise. They know who they are without acting that way.

Since I can't slap their miserable faces, I would have snatched the camera and left the class to submit a report of gross misconduct and a request for their immediate suspension.

That's insane.
Those kids need a HUGE a.s.s. beating!!
I guess the substitute needs to retire,he is too elderly to control his classroom...and was literally sexually harassed by them.
The children need to be punished or brought up on sexual harassment charges against the poor elderly man.
UNLESS...those girls know something about that man that we do not.
