its a brilliant phenomenon. whats so special about corn anyway? Other foods get beat the hell out of in the body, but corn often triumphs through the the acids and crushing and everything else. huh?

there is a certain digestive enzyme that is needed to completely digest a kernal of corn. those with that enzyme can digest it more easily. those who chew the corn more before swallowing will see different things than someone who basically chews for a few seconds and then swallows.

What you are seeing is the outside, or the hull of the corn kernal. That is the stuff that dosen't break down and digest.

that's so funny.... the girls i babysit for ate dinner here last week and we had corn with our meal... i mentioned that to them, and they thought i was CRAZY!!!!! but yep, its true. evidently, we don't digest corn, thus having it come back WHOLE!

yep, that's because the gastric acids can destroy or digest the skin of the corn... that's why you see it again.... now don't try eating it again
