What age should you be to start shaving your legs and how would you ask?

Um, you should start to shave when hair appears that you dont like. If it is there, and you dont want it, shave it off. Say, "Hey Mom, can you get me a razor so I can shave my gross legs?"

about 13. just be like "mom, i have to tell you something. well, i have grown a lot of hair on my legs, and i don't like it and would like to shave it off. do you think it would be okay for me to do that, please?" and give her the puppy-dog eyes. lol.

and if she doesn't let you, just go out with an aunt or sister, and buy a shaving thing.. i think that shaving cream is the best for starters, it doesn't hurt and it is SO EASY. that's what i did when i first started. (around 13.) my mom didn't let me shave mine till i was a teenager. i recommend Nair shaving lotion. carefully read the labels, some creams may not be for certain parts of the body.

just be careful and calm when you are doing it, you don't want any sensitivity. OH! and do what i do right after i shave. put on some cream on your legs to prevent drying out and itchiness/blotchiness. i recommend Avon Moisture Therapy (with oatmeal.) Nivea, baby cream, Aveeno, or Dove. they are all really good creams from my experience, but for you because you are new to this, start with baby cream. (Johnson's.)

I started shaving my legs when the hair was noticeable(i am dark-haired)so i was around 13. But, I made the mistake of going ahead and doing it on my own and not asking my mom and I dry shaved them(i was young and stupid) And got the worst case of razor burn, my legs felt like they were on fire!! So just ask your mom, I'm sure she will understand and make sure to use lots of soap or shaving lotion and a sharp razor.

I didn't start shaving my legs until I was in the 5th grade. I know girls who waited until the 6th grade. I think it all depends on maturity. If you arn't in the 5th grade yet, I wouldn't worry about shaving your legs, it's not thrill, expecially getting cuts and knicks every 2 seconds (it takes a while to get used to the whole shaving thing). And once you start shaving, you never stop, so I say wait until you think you need to...

I started around 12 and i just went up to my mom and said "can i start shaving my legs because i have really dark hair and it's gross!" She wouldn't let me use a real razor but i started with an eltectric one

I started to shave when I turned 12. I was like so hairy, and my hair was so dark. I should have started sooner.Just ask your mom when you can start shaving, how hard can that be?

It would depend on how much your hair grows and how dark it is and if it bothers you. Once you start, you have to keep it up. I would say at least 12 or 13 though. You can talk to your mom about it and see what she says. You might start by asking her how old she was when she started and what it was like. She'll probably understand what you want to do but regardless, it will open the conversation.

ok this is what happened to me..i went through the EXACT same thing..i asked my mom and she said she didnt want me to right then becasue it becomes such a pain..i was furious..but just try and give your mom a good reason why you should shave your legs(if she says no that is) the best would be..im embarassed about it, but to ask just go with, mom i think i want to shave my legs..dont get too complicated its not that big a deal,trust me.
