I'm always upset over the smallest things, there only ever seems to be a few times in my day were I'm happy, and usually only about once a week am I turly happy. But I don't get i because I have a great life, everything I want and need, yet I take things to seriously, and I always seem to be having fights for no reson and I'm sick of myself and of being so unhappy.

I know this isn't normal, so what's wrong with me?

Ugh, that sounds really difficult. It seems interesting that while you can see positive things in your life, you can't seem to stop having negative thoughts. To me this likely means a chemical imbalance that's causing your emotions to be out of whack with your life. I would suggest making an appointment with a psychiatrist and discussing your thoughts. It could be as simple as an anxiety disorder or depression. While these things aren't easy to deal with, they're much eaiser to live with when you're on the right medication. The best of luck to you!

If you're a teenager, well that explains it. However, if not:

Maybe your definition of happiness is a little inflated. Actually, most people don't know they're happy during a time they are happy; in fact, people are more in tune with sadness for some reason. Try appreciating what you have more instead of what you don't have.

Also, if you're not a teenager, you should probably go see a professional instead of asking on a forum. If you are, you'll probably be able to wait it out.

I personally think you take life too seriously. That old saying: "Don't take life so serious, you'll never get out alive." is so true. I used to sweat the small stuff, and have a fit if things weren't perfect. That got me a divorce after 21 years with a great wife. Now, I say screw it to the things that irked me before. Life is way too short to sweat the small stuff.
