The omega 3's in seafood is very good to eat while you are pregnant. I would be careful getting tuna from Subway though. I worked at 3 different Subways for four years and always had bad luck with the tuna there. I can tell you it is just basic tuna chunk with some light mayo added in. Nothing fancy in it. So I would suggest buying your own and making it.

Thats so funny. When I was pregnant a few months ago thats all I would crave. All I wanted was Tuna Subway sandwhiches and Fruit cups.Knowing your not suppose to eat much fish due to mercury I would spoil myself every Friday with a tuna sub(it was the special on Fridays for $2.49) and a fruit cup.I told my doc about that and she said it was fine but just to try not to eat much fruit due to high sugar content I figured she would say something about the tuna but she said that what I was doing was fine.Good Luck momma

Tuna is actually one of the safest fish you can eat during pregnancy. You would have to eat quite a bit of it to exceed the levels deemed safe for pregnancy. If you like the sandwiches, you should try a tuna salad from Subway. I like to get mine with lettuce, onions, black olives, bell pepper, banana peppers, and well..pretty much everything except the jalepeno peppers(too hot for me lol) Sometimes I also like to get the sweet onion sauce drizzled..oh try that and don't forget the pepper

Yes you can eat the tuna sub...You are just suppose to limit the intake of tuna due to the traces of mercury found in it

yes, its ok...lol, i use to LOVE tuna, i could eat it straight from the can (with a little, ok a lot, of mayo) but now, ive had it maybe once or twice and im 33 weeks, i miss my tuna sooooo much, and im sure its the omega 3 fatty acids that your body is wanting!!! like with me, anytime i have cereal, i have to have two glasses of milk with it, but i only crave cereal when i either need iron, or calcium, which was alot lately, and i asked my dr. they ran some test turned out i was anemic (was craving like 3 bowls of Honey Bunches Of Oats...tons of iron in there) and so listen to your body, just make sure if you get any kind of deli cut from subway that they heat it, i didnt know that, but i always get my subs heated, but i prefer Larry's Giant Subs....tons more meat :D anyways good luck
