Pretty sure the flasher is bad, but I can't find it. Found the hazard flasher on the fuse box, but the turn signal one is eluding me. I know its under the dash somewhere. Can anyone help? Do I have to take off the lower dash panel?

Okay, you may not like this at all. On the older late 1970's cars and trucks and vans, a lot of the components for lights and especially turn signals were put UNDER the instrument panel. Check there next BEFORE tearing apart the underside of the dash board. Just to let you know: Put some dielectric grease on the terminal plugs before re-installing the new flasher unit or any other fuses. The grease will help prevent rust as well as give a more solid electrical connection for the parts.

The majority of those flashers were attached to the steering column brackets to the left side of the column, if someone else has had it out before it could be anywhere around the column area above where your legs usually are when setting behind the wheel!!
