So, recently, I've thought about whether or not the size of my penis was adequate enough. Fully erect, it's about 6.75 inches long and 5 inches around. Does this sound about right for a 17 year old?
I believe that it's an average length. Is a girth of 5 inches a good amount?

For Pete's sake, that's more than adequate! That girth (if you are telling the truth) will make a lot of women VERY happy indeed. And 6.75 is bigger than average in length.

Here's the bottom line....it doesn't matter what size or girth it is. There is nothing you can do to change it. Even when those of high ignorance tell you something can make it bigger or smaller, that is not true. Therefore, learn to deal with it and accept what you have. It's the only one you'll ever have.
