Without a doubt. I would prefer someone sexy and not handsome eg Alex Turner to someone handsome and not sexy eg Roger Federer.

We live in an age where youth, beauty or handsomeness is the number one characteristic that attracts people. It is this that is considered "sexy". That's strictly a physical attraction. There are people and I have met them who were very attractive and attracted much attention ...until they opened up their mouth. They were air heads. Yes, one can be very sexy and beautiful. They are good for a ****, but relationships based on this are not long lasting. Then I have met people who were very plain, and sometimes quite "unlovely" but they had what it takes to make a relationship.... substance within, beauty within. If you consider The good characteristics within beyond mere physical traits "sexy" then yes, a person can not be handsome and yet very "sexy". These types of relationships tend to last longer...However, such people have to have it within!!!

Definitely. There's some very good-looking jerks out there, and some plain, very sexy men. It's about personality and confidence.
However, if you're talking *just* about looks, like if you're looking at them in a magazine, then I'd have to say handsome trumps non-handsome.

Well, im 16 and we dont say handsome.. we either call guys cute or sexy... theres a difference belive it or not!
Cute are dudes who are just adorably looking. (this is usually combined with the atributes of being nice or sweet, but not always)
Sexy is a dude that just looks so damn good that you want to drag them into a closet right then and there!
Now, sexy dudes can be cute and adorable in some occasions. My best friend is by no means sexy... i mean.. he's my best friend.. but he is adorable and cute in every possible way! He's tall and skinny, he's got the prettiest blue eyes and he's got this smile that make you think of an innocent little boy and you just wanna grab him and hug him and squish his cheeks like an old lady! He's also one of the sweetest and funniest people in the world...
but he IS NOT sexy... thats just gross..
but his friend .. OMGOSH! he's both.. he's cute and sexy ! he's one of those slightly emo dudes (they are all skaters) but withought the total freakishness. He's got even prettier eyes than my best friend and he's sooo freakin CUTE!! he is just OMGOSH! sexy... gotta nice booty too!

yes someone can defiantly be sexy without being handsome or visa verse... Handsome is based off looks a lone. Being sexy is how someone carries them self, their personalities,the way they dress, if they may be able to hold a conversation or not...and confidence.Confidence defiantly makes one sexy.

Yes, you could consider someone handsome without being turned on by them and have sex (feeling that they are sexy) with someone who is not that good looking.

if it's only good looking and appearance, anyone with money can get it. sexy is just the way you are, it has a lot to do with confident and knowing what to do or say in the right time to get the right attention. it's more than just look or body build, for me.

Absolutely, sexy is all about attitude.... looks fade sexy usually doesn't. I still find my Fiance very sexy! ( almost three years later )
