If you have XP, try to restore to an earlier date
Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Restore

If that doesn't work, go to the Toshiba site and you'll need to plug in your exact model (follow the instructions) and they'll point you to the files you need to download. You're looking for your sound driver. I'd try restore first.

have you got the setup disc that come with the laptop if you have not go to www.toshiba.co.uk or com and download the drivers, also go to start, control panel, system, hardware, device manager and look for the sound icon right hand click on it then left click properties and you should see roll back driver, or you can just use system restore by going to start, accessories, system tools then system restore and restore your computer to a date like yesterday or before you deleted the files.
