It's a decent antivirus and not malware, more bloated than other free options like AVG or Avast, but does a good job and is very easy for novice users.

I don't like any products from AOL. I would either buy antivirus program or try the AVG antivirus program for free. You can also purchase a more comprehensive version. The aol antivirus will probably put some kind of adware for aol.

Don't get it, AOL's one of those companies whose software is so powerful it can do some serious harm to your computer if you ever decide to remove it. It didn't help my computer at all and it didn't catch anything on my computer that my other antivirus couldn't find so when I tried to remove it it gave me so much trouble that I had to system restore to way before I even installed the thing.

kaspersky i believe is what you're referring to the active shiel, its not bad
