What's the craziest thing that's ever happened to you during a job interview?

I was for some reason very aroused by the interviewer.....I think she could sense it....I didn't get hired.

I would definitely say be honest. The interviewer is looking for your ability to articulate your interest and passion for the film you like, not for a list of the best films ever. They will already have plenty of people with opinions on that! I used to work in recruitment and I would ask questions like that to gain an insight into the person's ability to describe their interests. I certainly wouldn't judge someone because their favourite film was thought of as rubbish! Sounds like you know what you're talking about on the art/theatre side so why worry? Good luck.

I was actually conducting a group interview for some seasonal type employees and I could sense some tension between two of the girls in there. I noticed that one of the girls was turning about 17 shades of red and starting to shake while another girl was just sitting there staring at her. I stopped the interview and asked her if she was alright, she looked like she was going to pass out. As soon as I asked her if she was doin alright the other girl stood up and started screaming at her, using some pretty colorful language. Luckily I was already standing at this point because she lunged toward the other girl and was reaching back to take a swing, I managed to stop her before they were able to come to blows. So much fun. From that point on I always stood whenever I had to conduct a group interview, you never know who's going to be in the room with you and who has a beef with who. It's a small world. Thank god I got out of that type of job, I don't have to worry about any of that crap anymore.

I had 10-15 min. to get there and I was downtown, so I thought I'd take a taxicab instead of the subway because there were many delays due to construction. So my driver goes uptown, turns left and we get stuck a whole half hour in between 4 long crosstown blocks. I stayed in the cab thinking the only way to get there ontime is if I ran there with my portfolio in hand, but i'd be all sweaty and late anyway. The interviewer was less than impressed and I was not hired :-P

I am a manager in the technology field and I was interviewing a very attractive young woman and as part of the interview, since for an IT job, I asked her her favorite website. She thought about it for a moment and then said Victoria Secret's since that is all she wears............I was not sure what to say next.....

I had an interviewer ask me every illegal question under the sun. Had I ever filed bankruptcy, had I ever been arrested, did I have a check book? thought is was so outrageous, I couldn't stop laughing.

I was offered the job, but I turned it down.

My cell phone kept ringing, i thought I turned on the vibe, and did not. Needless to say, they told me to answer the call since I must be a very busy person, then after I told who called me, I would call em back, the HR asked if it was an important call, I was not hired. LOLOL which I didn't want to work there anyways.

My ex boss was on the phone with this guy,and after he got off the phone during the interview,he asked me "How did you put up with her mouth while you worked for her ?"..lol..I was hired on the spot.
