She was sick in her first trimester and then got through it. It is now back almost a month later. She has just started the fourth month.

yes it's very normal--mine came and went with my first 2 kids
with the next 2, I was sick the whole 9 months. I could keep down liquids but not much else. If she can't keep down liquids she needs to see her doctor.

I am currently 22 weeks and still getting sick, just not as intense as week 6-16. I felt like i had a break where i felt pretty good weeks 16-18 then started getting sick again. Its tough, she'll make it through:) maybe do some nice things for her that she won't be expecting. My husband is so immune to my vomiting that he doesn't even acknowledge it, it would be nice every once in awhile if he brought me a glass of water...

It certainly isn't abnormal. I'm now 16 weeks along in my third pregnancy and still feeling crummy. I don't feel quite as bad as I did during the first tri, but I think I had a harder time recovering than I did with my first two. I just hope I start gaining weight soon.

Hang in there. If it is really bad have her talk to her doctor. And help her remember to take her prenatal vitamins. I sure would have done a better job if my husband brought them to me with water or gatorade instead of me having to get out of bed or off the couch to get it myself.

Some women stay sick for the entire 9 months, especially on the first pregnancy. She can ask her doctor about it if it's severe - she's losing weight. Other than that she just has to outlast it.

Normal...I am in my third trimester and still sick. It let up around 4th month and has returned. Tell her to hang in there.

The only reason to be weary is if it affects her appetite or weight gain.
