How could you become a superhero to your child?

My daughter doess not think i am cool enough.She says that she will only love me if i have powers.Right now she won't talk to me.

Should we have wached that superhero show?She likes them more and says she hates me.

Sounds to me it's time to do away with time outs and such and get her attention the way we used to. All kids go through stages like that it's part of growing up.

It's time to grow some balls and tell her that that is inappropriate behavior and you won't put up with it.

Which one of you is the adult here??????

If you are behaving in an adult manner and making sure your child is safe and has food, I'm sure you have a lot of respect from your daughter. When I was very young, I thought my mom and dad were like god or something, like they didn't make mistakes. The older I got though, the more I realized that they could make mistakes, human as anyone else. But I had respect for them when I was younger, or they'd have spanked my bottom! lol

Well, if shes a teenager then that means that everything is fine and dont worry too much about it but if shes not a teenager than u really need to do something b/c w/e ur doing is not right!

Hey, you could try dressing up like a superhero, or say " heres my mom hero sandwhich, made special for you" You could start reading your child a bedtime story, and try to look happy when he/she wants to play a game.
