I agree!! How tacky was that? Do you think if S. Peyton or B. Belichick had've won they would've said "Hey, you're the 40th Caucasian male to win a SuperBowl! How do you feel about that?" Sad as it is, I'm still glad that the COLTS went on to advance and will face the Bears in Miami for the SuperBowl! GO COLTS!!!

His legacy is safe and sound. The black thing will go away when it is a commonplace occurence. This Superbowl has 2 black head coaches. I hope he gets the distinction of being the first black coach to win a Superbowl. He will also be remembered as being a good decent man, of any color.

I agree that its a interesting thing to have too black coaches in the Super Bowl, however is it necessary to talk about it like its the first black president. And to bring it up in every interview come on already when the first white coaches went to the super bowl was their race a factor.? Dont get me wrong its a great thing they are talented men who coached their teams exceptionally well but I dont think they did that because they are black white spanish chinese . It just proves that this country still looks at what color you are not just what you do.
What I wanted to know is why The Colts didnt dump the Gatoraide on Dungy when they won?? Thats my favorite part and it just didnt happen.....
Im just happy for Dungy we miss him in Tampa and he got cheated out of our super bowl Gruden walked into what Dungy created and he has not been able to reproduce it since

i'm just annoyed that it is such a big deal that he's black. superbowl coaches go to the superbowl on their skills and if they happen to be black then so be it.
i feel bad because Dungy is one of the best defensive minded coaches out there. (yes he is a defensive specialist but can still construct such a great offense)
Dungy constructed the Tampa Bay's Defense into such a powerful bunch, then the year he left Tampa Bay, John Gruden comes in and wins the superbowl...with the team Dungy built up.
look at all his former assistants/coordinators. Lovey Smith (Superbowl coach too), made one of the best defense in the NFL today. Herman Edwards drafted and created the Jets defense into a really good group.
he is such a great coach, but history is probably going to remember him as a black coach that went to a superbowl instead of one of the most talented coaches today

I think it's great. It wouldn't be an issue if the NFL had so few black coaches for so long. We can pretend that color doesn't matter, but there is a reason why there are only a few black men in leadership positions. This Superbowl is a great way to show that things are changing.

What the Chicago Bears coach did is more impressive anyway. Indianapolis was supposed to win the last five. Dungy blew those like he'll blow this one. I'll still root for Peyton and Marvin because they deserve the title.

No and he answered that question very politely, he didn't use his race, he answered as the whole team.

The things change... the more things stay the same. America will never move on, because in this country we learn racist behavior and pass it on to our next generation. We are all guilty of this.
I agree with you.... why should this be a subject at all.

We will never move on as long as liberals are around to ask one group or another how the feel about being the victim or acheiving something or another as if no one expects people of color to acheive anything.
I was born after the civil rights era so maybe this sort of thing is all lost on me because I wasn't alive during the 60s. But I'm afraid my children will still be debating whether affirmative action has outlived its necessity.
