My Husband had this severely for years. Stop all caffeine, alcohol and cigarettes.

He took timed release niacin for 5 to 10 years and this helped keep it under control. Niacin will help flush out the tiny capillaries that are in the ears.

After many years it is gone but he has about 50 percent loss of hearing in both ears. So get to an ear specialist promptly. They many have something new for it now.

Sorry, someone else said the name, it is Tinnitus.

After reading the above answers, I'm wondering if you mean "What does it mean if you wear an earring in your left ear? Right ear?"

Is that what you mean?

Your left ear is ringing. And your right ear is ringing.

Can you elaborate on your question? Are you asking what the "old wives tales" are about ringing ears and itchy palms and such?

Like ... if your ear is ringing, someone is saying something nice about you or if your other ear is ringing someone is speaking badly of you?
