he will be treated more likely as an adult, charged with driving under the influence (.6 is twice the legal limit - LEGALLY Intoxicated .... anything over .38 is actually someone who shouldn't be awake...they'd be most likely dead) and vehicle homicide for killing someone
He'd probably get 25 to life.
Wayfarout .. he posted .6 BAC.. that is TWICE The legal limit in every state ( .08 is the legal limit in most states...some are higher some are lower) .. BAC of .38 is considered comatose.

If all of that was known to the authorities, it could be vehicular manslaughter and a few years in jail. Since he wasn't over the 'legal limit' for alcohol, the officer would have needed to be told about the valium. Whether the charges would be that severe depends on a lot of factors you didn't describe (such as the accident itself), but it could lead to jail time.
Oops--you said .6, not .06? In that case, it's DWI and vehicluar manslaughter which brings a few years in jail, and the officer doesn't need to know about the valium for that to happen.

Uh oh! I did an same component in Texas at 16, and have self belief me, you'd be hunted down. First you'd be listed as a lacking man or woman and a warrant on your boyfriend's arrest will be issued. because you received't have an house or pastime lined up, the police will easily figure out that you've fled to a chum or relative's abode (they are smarter than you imagine) and could easily wager your whereabouts. in case you do deal with to bypass for longer than per week without being stuck, ignore about chatting with any of your friends lower back till you turn 18, because they are going to ALL were threatened by technique of the police and could likely be too scared to have some thing to do with you. That or they are going to rat you out the first danger they get. and that i'm hoping you've some hundred thousand money saved, in money, because on the grounds that both you and your boyfriend could have warrants out on your arrest, there is not any way you'd be able to artwork, use charge playing cards, or have a economic corporation account without alerting the authorities on your whereabouts. once you ultimately do get stuck quicker or later because you ran a pink basic, made a withdrawal from an ATM, or tried to apply a cellular telephone, your boyfriend will be charged with statutory rape, contributing to the deliquency of a minor, conceivable kidnapping prices, and/or all added prices for transporting a minor for the time of state lines. So, is penal complex time and the existence of a registered sex criminal some thing you want on your boyfriend? probable no longer. merely carry in there and issues will artwork themselves out.

DUI, manslaughter... that guy is good to get the book thrown at him, he'll be tried as an adult, and he better live in a city with good public transportation if and when he gets outta jail, because I'd be surprised if he is ever allowed to drive again. (at least, that's what would happen in France : a prison sentence, suspended if his lawyer is good, but the driving licence would be annulled, with a mark to tell he's not even allowed to reapply, in the US, it may be different ).

Because he's 17, he would be tried as an adult. This is not premeditated murder, its involuntary manslaughter or voluntary manslaughter in some states. I think in the Yahoo questions, it would be better at times if people said what state they live in because these laws vary. However, because of his age, he could be subjected to full adult penalties.

He would definately get a DUI, license revoked if he had one, and would get charged with vehicular manslaughter and substance abuse.
