It's very common for a new betta to be a finnicky eater at first. Some can take over a week to start eating normally. It's nothing to worry about because bettas can live for several weeks without food (but they certainly don't like that.. feed them regularly and don't fret about him if you go out of town for a few days).
However, I would not recommend the bloodworms for his staple diet. I reserve them as occassional treats (no more than a few times a week) and feed them betta pellets daily.
The reason I say this is because freeze-dried bloodworms are like candy to bettas as they are lacking in nutrition, not to mention they're also notorious for causing constipation if fed too often.
Be patient. Offer him food daily, and if he doesn't take it within a couple minutes, remove it so it doesn't foul up the water. He'll come around.
If more than a week goes by and he still hasn't eaten, send me a message and I'll help you (sometimes not eating can be a sign of illness).

Bettas can take awhile to settle in. My last new one took several days before he would eat, it seems to be pretty normal. I would just try feeding a tiny bit once a day until he is ready, the food type shouldn't be the problem, but you can try another betta specific food and see. Just make sure to remove the uneaten food after 10 minutes or so so your water won't get toxic too fast. Also, if you use a dry food it is better for the fish if you soak it in some tank water before feeding, it removes the air from the food and can prevent problems later on. Bettas are very sensitive to overfeeding too, so make sure not to over do it! Make sure and change his water at least once a week if there is no filter in the tank (just in case you didn't know that). Good luck, he should be eating soon!

Try some Betta pellets or flakes. Also he maybe under some stress. Give him a chance to get used to his new bowl. You want to remember to keep him in a warm part of the house to keep his water temp around 70*. When it drops below 70* your Betta will slow down and wont be very happy. Also Betta's can go about a week without eating and they will be fine.

Flake food or betta pellet food.
He should be fine!
Bloodworms are more of a snack-time food anyways. The constant diet should be the flake food or the floating pellet food.
