You should not worry about the discrepancy between the ultrasound readings. Although the ultrasound is the most accurate way to determine length of pregnancy, it still has a margin of error close to 2 weeks.
The margin of error depends on the length of pregnancy:
5 - 7 weeks: Measurement of the sac at five to seven weeks gives an accuracy of plus or minus ten days.
7 - 14 weeks: Measuring the crown-rump length gives an accuracy of plus or minus three days at seven weeks
14 - 26 weeks: the measurement of the biparietal diameter of the baby's head, the femur length, and the head and abdominal circumference is used; the accuracy is plus or minus seven to ten days.
26 - 40 weeks: Later in pregnancy, the accuracy declines, and may be plus or minus twenty-one days.
Here's a little bit more about ultrasounds:
Ultrasounds are used to determine the development of the baby and provide a more accurate due date. This method is superior to other methods because the doctor is able to examine and measure each of the baby's organs on ultrasound screen. These measurements can then help in determining the size of the baby, i.e. stage of fetal development, and consequently the due date. It is possible that each of your ultrasound scans gives a different due date. The date computed from your last ultrasound scan is likely to be the most accurate. Again, remember that these dates are simply estimates, and therefore are only indicative of the actual delivery date.

Due dates are relatively in basic terms estimates based on the standard length of being pregnant. often talking a doctor will calculate your due date in keeping with what you tell them replaced into the 1st day of your final menstrual cycle. they have a gadget, even though it form of works out to be 3 months formerly and a week later than that day (to illustrate in the adventure that your final cycle began Nov 17, your due date may be Aug 24 using fact August is 3 months formerly, and the twenty fourth is a week later). those dates are adjusted in the adventure that your classes are not the "elementary" length, although. yet in any different case to degree a due date is once you have an ultrasound. They take a length from the innovations-blowing of the toddler's head to his or her taillbone (crown to rump they call it). With this length they could estimate the toddler's age interior the womb. often, the quicker interior the being pregnant this is complete the greater precise that's, using fact using fact the toddler gets older, genetic (like tall or short genes) and nutritional adjustments start to effect this length and then make the estimate much less precise. Your wellness care professional will decide for which date she or he determines to be maximum precise. Your wellness care professional will probable %. the ultrasound date if there's a huge distinction between ultrasound and the calendar approach. this is very probable if a woman's classes are strange or in basic terms no longer the "elementary" 28 day cycle. With dissimilar ultrasounds, they make greater determinations of the crown to rump length and could make certain a various age of the toddler, and supply you a various due date. wish this facilitates! Have a satisfied being pregnant! Congratulations :)

It really does happen all the time. I am pregnant with my fourth child and my due date seems to change with every ultrasound I Have. Most doctors will tell you the first one they give you is the most accurate but you never really know. If the doctors are not concerned I would not worry to much. So dont stress yourself out and concentrate on being and staying healthy. Congratulations and good luck!

If the baby had stopped growing they would not of picked up a heartbeat and they always check this at every scan. So I wouldn't worry but I know this is easier said than done when you have previously had a miscarriage. Hope all well and congrats

This happens all the time. I had to go in twice too for my heart and the due date changed. Just try not to get too stressed because that could cause a miscarriage.

At that early in the pregnancy, it is still hard to determine how far along you are. Remember, due dates can vary up to two weeks either way for the entire pregnancy. Good luck.
