I would like to know how to replace the headlight on a 1999 VW Beetle.?

Open the hood (TRUNK) look behind the headlight assembly. You'll see wires going to light assembly, unscrew that and the light bulb will come out. There's a safety devise that you push to unscrew all the way..........

These are fun.

First you need to slide the release levers down to loosen the entire headlamp assembly. Then you need to slide it forward all the way out of the fender. Once it is out, disconnect the pigtail, pop the bulb out and do the reverse to re-install. Getting it back in is the really fun part.
