Nobody would be left alive so measurement of time is kind of irelevant.

Well for one thing, a "day" would no longer be 24 hours long.

The Suns rays would ever so slowly move across the face of the Earth as the Earth swung around in its orbit around the Sun. We
would have days about 187 1/2 of our previous days length, and then 187 1/2 of our previous days length of night . Most plants would die, and long periods of extreme heat would be followed by frigid cold throughout the long night. We could predict that most living creatures would die out.

The upper atmosphere Jet Stream would cease to exist. This change alone will damage all season change cycles and reduce the movement of moisture from the oceans to dry areas of the world which depend on life giving rain fall.

If you figure that this will happen any time soon, better say good bye to your friends now.

It would mean that we could no longer measure time either directly or indirectly by observing the rotation of the earth. We would have to observe another movement of some kind. As long as something, somewhere in the universe moves, time exists.

wouldn't. If I understand Einstein correctly, he theorized that time measurements can be effected by gravity (black holes, etc). However, gravity is dependent upon mass. Since the mass of the Earth has not changed (significantly), then time would continue as normal.

But my sundial would be useless, & I might have to replace my solar watch.

Time, as we know it, wouldn't change. I doubt that we would all die either. If earth stops orbiting around the sun then you have a different and more serious problem.
