No one can stop you from being sued. However, they probably cannot garnish anymore from your paycheck. The amount of garnishment is limited. Child support garnishments have the highest limits, up to 50% of your paycheck. Therefore, if someone sues you and win, they probably cannot collect it until your child support garnishment is completed. However, you should not let them win without a fight, because the judgment is good in my state for 14 years and draws interest at 81/2%, so it could compound interest for years. You are probably what we call "judgment proof." That means the judgment is uncollectable. But that's only now. It could be collected in the future. You could bankrupt the judgment if appropriate to your financial situation. You cannot bankrupt child support, however.

do you mean if you already have child support coming out of your check can another company garnish it also?

if so, then yes, i think they can.

if you mean can the child support sue you... its law that all employers take court ordered child support out of a paycheck.

if you still are not sure, contact your local Legal Aid Office to find out who can do what. they are in every state and most counties. they go on a sliding scale, so its free to most people. just look in your phone book, call your county court clerks office or your states Bar Assoc for the number.

i do not realize your question completely yet that is what i learn about what infant help can do. they could garnish your wages. they could and could report on your credit. they are going to report funds as well, yet they often ignore to report the astounding stability, so that you should income that. they don't report that they are garnishing wages. the most acceptable component to do is contact your infant help agency. If the youngster help is owed and there is a Judgment, a thanks to do that is via the youngster help agency that's dealing with the case.
