which restaurant is better and why??

I generally prefer TGI Fridays, I think the food selection is much more diverse, and the quality is better when compared to Applebees. To me, Applebees tastes like frozen food - especially their appetizers.
However, even if their appetizers may not be spectacular, it is a better deal than TGI Fridays when they are half-off.

Neither one is great, but I would pick Fridays over Applebees. I had a friend who worked at Applebees, and they said that none of the food was cooked fresh. It was all frozen and microwaved. Fridays might cook their food the same (I have the feeling many big chain restaurants do...) but I have always liked the food better at Fridays, so I'll pick them.

If only my old lady could answer this question. She is a FREAK when it comes to Fridays. We have an Applebees where we live, I think both are good as long as they both have Jim Beam. Do we go to the restaurant that is in our town? No! We drive two hours to go to Fridays. They are basically the same with just different shat on the walls.

TGI Friday's. I love Applebees and all, but TGI Fridays has that new $12.99 meal deal and compared to Applebee's combos, it kicks butt! I've been wanting to try the new oreo cake they have.

I always want to say applebees, but if i end up a tgi fridays, i always love it there too. maybe tgi fridays because they always seem to have more options!

I like the food, especially the ribs, better at Fridays. Plus, they have better service and I really like th balloon twisters they have at Fridays because it keeps the curtain climbers quiet. All around, I like Fridays better. Applebee's ribs would be better if they put more spice and less syrup in their sauce.

TGIFridays is not as good as it was 25 years ago, but then I'm probably not either. Applebees doesn't thrill me.
I'm with Alamahambra - Cracker Barrel is always wonderful. Too bad the nearest one to me is about 7 hours' drive away.

TGI Fridays has more variety, and their food seems to taste fresher, and it comes out hot. No matter what Applebee's I go to, the food always tastes strangley sweet and it comes to me lukewarm.
