are you going to one or in one? if you are in one they should have a outfit propared for you. if you are just attending one I'd just wear a black or red dress with some high heels. but don't overdue it too much! I think that the person whose it is should get the attention.

wear a knee-length dress but not too fancy and not too bright. and also make sure you wear a sweater you arent supposed to show your shoulders.
