Depending on issues such as where you are, where you want to work at and what university you obtained you PhD from (I am not intending to sound like an academic snob here), I think the best bet for you would be to go into research or academic teaching, either with a university (or even high school if you want to go for the easy life) or something with the government.

I must laugh at the response that states, "Teach high school...if you want the easy life"...Now, this would just be an assumption, but I highly doubt that advice was given by a person that has experience teaching high school. Regardless, I would suggest that you speak to people that hold this degree (for ex: college/university professors), as they would likely have the best insight.
