If I have a bath it is for recreation and I always have a shower afterwards. I don't think baths do get you as clean, perhaps 90% as clean, maybe even 95% but that 5% makes a difference to be. A bath is a lot more fun though.

Apart from the economics I'd say that showers are cleaner, because all the dirt gets washed straight down the plughole. Baths are an occasional luxurious and relaxing soak for me.

I think showering is cleaner as you don't lay in your own dirt as mentioned. If you must take a bath, at least Howevere afterwards. Use the bath for relaxation, and the shower for cleaning. Have fun.

lying in a bath is not good for you it may open your pores but that lets all the dirt back in to your skin a shower is better for you it washes away the dirt if you like have'in a bath then rinse off with the shower after

Showers are quicker and more economical and better because the dirt washes away immediately - but they don't really do it for feet. Feet need a proper soak in a proper bath.

Sitting in a bath without anti bacterial suds such as believe it or not, Sunlight, is asking for an infection.
As bacteria grows in warmth, a tub is a perfect way for it to be introduced to your body via body openings. IE: cuts, urethra's, mouth, nose and eyes. The worst pain in my life came from a bladder infection that hospitalized me. Bladder infections are very common for women that bathe. I think that bathes are wonderful ways to relax, however use an anti bacterial suds maker. And i would suggest showering before exiting.
In a frugal sense though, bathing is water conserving, as you use way less water than showering. Hope i settled this for you.

Baths are better I think, you can soak open up your pores, then scrub-a-dub -dubbb.....also I found out that a shower is only economical if you shower within 4 minutes....any more time than that you may as well have a bath!

soaking in a hot bath is soo nice. But if you're getting ready for like some event (e.g. dinner with friends..homecoming..winter formal..birthdayparty??) take a shower. You're friends are right. In a bath you're pretty much absorbing you're own dirt grime and sweat
