Non-renewable resources are basically any resource that is burned, a hydrocarbon so to speak, that is mined from the earth or pumped out.
Dino-oil is a non-renewable resource, but bio-diesel is renewable, being made from soy. Ethanol is a great renewable resource.

Non-renewable Resources means these resources can not be renewed i.e. Coal, Oil and Gas. We have to explore a new source.
Renewable resources means these resources are permanently available i.e. Like Sun shining, Wind energy and Geothermal. The sun shines every day. Wind is available near Sea-shore. Geothermal are hot water springs. We have to explore a method to use it with out abusing. Plants use sun shine to make carbohydrates.
So non-renewable sources are limited in the earth so they extinguish. Due to growth in industrialisation, the use of non-renewable resources has increased whereas the new resources are not found and hence stock of oil available may last for another 40 years only.
Use solar energy where ever possible. Dry your clothes. Put wet food items and dry them. Provide windows on south side use sun light during day time.
Provide Ventilators below ceiling to remove hot air out and cold air enters from opposite side.
We take oxygen and release carbon dioxide where as plants take carbon dioxide and release oxygen. plants are our friends so grow plantation.

Anything precious or one-of-a-kind, or that is no longer being created. "Fossil fuels" require... well, fossils -- or lots of dead stuff like ancient trees and dinosaurs, so that's obviously non-renewable. Once it's gone, that's it.
Most resources are on a scale of "renewability" -- take fish, for example. Fish are renewable in that they continue to breed, but if you overfish or screw up their breeding environment, you can tip the scale to where the resource dries up. We humans are very good at that.
