...you got distracted and realised you accidently have run through a red light, but you realised when you were halfway through the intersection (or halfway out, depending if you're optimistic or not).
would you continue driving through hoping others get out of your way or there's no one there, or would you slam on the brakes to try and prevent anything from happening?

It will be quicker to keep going than to stop in the middle of the intersection.

I would hit my brakes then back my vehicle up to get me out of the intersection!

Happened to me once (it was not a red light, it was a stop sign though)... It was pretty late - that's why I was tired - and nothing bad happened, quite fortunately :p

I'd keep on going. I'm not sure if that's gonna help but it's what I always do. Oh, and I also, blow my horn and laugh loudly as I do it.
