I live on a dirt road in the country. Yup in hicksville, US of A lol. I feel very safe where I live. People do not come on this road unless they live off it and those people would be....you guessed it the outlaws. They know every move I make, I call it the compound. This place has been my husband's family land for hundreds or years. They all live around here, if anything odd or unusual were to happen trust me a full report would be with my husband within the minute lol.
There is a lot of acreage for the kids to roam, rivers to fish etc. I guess the only thing that makes me worry are those darn Mountain Lions that everyone sees, and hears but the State says do not exist. They have been in our yard, so we don't let anyone out at night, near the garbage can area.
So, living where I do and also with my husbands arsenal of weapons I definitely feel safe and my two dogs don't hurt either.

I do now because I've just moved from Leeds (nasty, dirty city in the UK) to a remote village in the hills.

Before moving here I checked the police records for the area - not a single crime recorded since they began keeping records years ago. I go out and leave the windows wide open and if I'm not gone for long I leave the door open as well. What a nice feeling compared to where I was.

Most of the time I do.

I just get a bit jittery when it's dark and there's a large group of people hanging round near the bus stop.

They probably mean no one any harm - not many youth clubs these days for teenagers to hang out in, but I still sometimes feel a bit nervous.....

xx

I only feel safe on my block.
The neighborhood is pretty poor looking and has lots of blacks.
But my grounds are safe. Both my manager and the one next door look after them very well and are the nicest guys I've met down here in Clearwater, FL.

I do feel 80% safe where I live. I don't think anywhere is truly safe. I have lived here for nearly four years and have had an attempted break in on my house, and my Husbands van was broken into and all his tools were taken.

For the most part, but I was told there was some petty theft in the hood the other night. It's always the same people stealing cell phones left visible in cars.

uhm not exactly, for the most part everyone around my neighborhood that is considered a dangerous person respects me fully, but on the other hand there are some that don't. So I would say about 70% yes and about 30% no.

I do during the day usually but once it's dark I won't go out without back up. Sad state of the times when a girl feels scared to walk alone.
