put two tea spoons in the fridge and chill them. Once they are cold press them over the eye area. Also make sure to drink plenty of water to rehydrate after a big cry sesh and try to get some sleep if possible. A good eyecream on the day and some touche eclat (YSL) or other brightening concealer/foundation around the eye area should also help. Try to use pale coloured eyeshadow and a nice mascara to open up the eyes when you are doing your make up and give the eyeliner a miss - we are going for a fresh look here! Whirl on a bit of blusher and try to smile/answer people positively if they ask how you are - its all about perception at the end of the day and if you can't mask the entire 'puff damage' you can at least detract from it by being percieved as fine. You can also feel very worn out after crying excessively so try to avoid alcohol and steer away from 'sugar crash foods' - proper fresh meals and snacks will prevent you from having a sugar roller coaster to contend with in addition to everything else. Try to get a break in the fresh air midday as well and take a few deep breaths. Good luck

Relax and get some sleep and go to bed early. Put a cool washcloth over your eyes and lay back for a while. OR try cucumber slices really anything cold because coldness reduces swelling. For the redness if its not away in the morning your only hope is makeup but truly it should be gone by in the morning! good luck

Visine eye lotion will get rid of the red.
cold Cucumber will reduce the puffy look. Every 3 hours bath the face especially the eye area in cold water. Then reapply the cucumber. Avoid scrubbing the eye area.
Remeber to drink plenty of water.

Non-fragrance baby wipes soaked in rose water (the kind you can use in cooking) placed over your eyes are great for taking away puffiness and redness. But if you don't have these try a cold flannel (crush some ice and wrap it up in the flannel). Hope that you feel better now that you've had a good cry. sleep tight.

Okay this is going to sound a bit crazy but I did see this on tv. If you put a spoon in the freezer over night wrap it up the next day and place them on your eyes it should take down the puffiness, never tried it but its worth a go. And cheer up my friend ;-) xxx

sorry about whatever made you cry....the best thing to do..is to rub an ice cube on your eyelids...close your eyes first then do the rubbing....the ice cube is good because it cools down your eyes and stops your eyes from swelling....then put slices of cucumber over your eyes...it relaxes them.....and most of all get lots of sleep...if that doesn't work then put make up that will camouflage the puffiness on your eyes...hope it all works out...

This sounds really wierd, but if you put some Preperation H under your eyes, and the skin around, it takes the puffiness away. Preperation H shrinks swollen skin... good luck.

rest your eyes for 30 minutes or an hour before sleeping so that your eyes won't be puffy
