I love the wwe, i think it is hugely entertaining and the wrestlers are phenominal athletes, however i am old enough to realise that it is scripted. My Question is what about people like teddy long, is he really the general manager? Does he really make the decisions, or has just got the sweetest job in the world, coming out every week and running his mouth, then going home

Teddy long is just employed by WWE as an on screen character. All the match decisions you see are done in combination between the writers who come up with the story and the booker who makes it work. In WWE, Steph Mcmahon is the chief writer and her husband Paul 'HHH' Levesque is the booker. However ultimately Vince Mcmahon has the final say on what goes out on both shows.

Teddy Long doesn't really make the decision's of who faces who it's the script wrighters job and he is just playing the role as general manager, like the wrestlers play a role as the superstars character. Hope this helps.

Sorry john a - its all scripted.For sure Teddy has the sweetest job in the world.But every word he says, every decision he makes its all done by the WWE storyliners.Hes no GM.Everything goes thru Vince.Hes the real boss of WWE.

It is all scripted by storyline writers at WWE HQ Stamford meaning Teddy Long has no influence on what actually happens, in effect he is an actor who is the face of authority in the Smackdown locker room

i think he has a class job because he also will work from a script that for his show smackdown is written by stephaine but i also think he will have so sort of work to do backstage involving stuff like pr and i think he will be some of the superstars agent i know for sure he is mark henry,s and proberbly others too.

we all know its scripted to who wins and who looses,and who wrestles who,but i think that he does have a big part in what he thinks maybe good for the company as well as most of the wrestlers themselves they know what would go down well with the fans,so i think i that he does make most of the decisions with smackdown
