Does your baby have a head cold or a stuffy nose? It may sound like an old wives tale but the term 'sick breath' can indicate that your baby may be ill. Usually it reflects a runny nose, cough, or some kind of upper respiratory infection. I would take your child to the doctor if he/she is showing these symptoms. A good remedy for runny nose and general colds is to use saline nasal spray (spray in an upright position twice in each nostril two or three times a day). The saline will flush out the mucous and prevent it from becoming an infection. Also keep a humidifier in the baby's room and turn it on during naptimes and also during the night. Also be sure that your baby's head is comfortably elevated (let her sleep in her carrier) this way she can breathe better and sleep better. This should help. If none of these symptoms apply, ask your doctor about it and also it wouldn't hurt to check the tonsils. Best of luck.
