We have a dance studio in our basement and all it has is wooden flooring and (eventually) mirrors.

it depends...first theres rent, and if that includes electric thats great if not, take that into consideration. then theres phone. also your running water for the bathroom. you need to put down marley which can be expensive, and youll need a barre (usually most studios have moveable ones as well so we can move them out onto the space to provide more barre space) and mirror. dont forget a sound system and storage (if there arent any cabinets)
basically - its a huge investment
