So, I want to buy a new computer, and I can't decide which one would be most worth the money. S this is what I'm looking at:
Compaq Presario SR2013WM-B Desktop Media Center w/ 2.4GHz AMD Athlon 64 3800+ Processor
OR
eMachines 15.4" LCD Desktop PC w/ 3.2 Ghz Intel Celeron D Processor 352, W3507

Any kind of input will be most appreciated!

If you want the most for your money, go to the Dell website and look at their new machine "scratch & dent" inventory. Keep checking it each day, and when you see what you want, buy it immediately or someone else will. You'll save hundreds of $$$ and the machine's cosmetic defect is likely to be very slight.

Dell is very popular because of all there advertising but once you get one they drop you like a brick. I suggest a Sony if you can afford it. That is the Cadillac of PCs.

Don't rush out and buy one yet. They are in the process of changing what goes inside them to match the new Windows operating system.

make sure the motherboard is a "ASUS" board
don't buy either
buy a open box deal or build it piece by piece
it's really not that hard and it's cheaper

Compaq is better than emachines.....If you can find someone to build one using good parts...you would have a better computer w/better parts, & less junk in it!
