Just want to see if any unauthorized people are using it. I know I should encrypt it, but can't I can't log into my router, keeps giving me wrong password, even though I've tried reseting it with the button in the back of the router. Anyways, I just want to view traffic on my wireless network.

Disconect the power. Hold the restart button - then plug in the power - and keep holding until your status lights start blinking on the front side. Try to access the web server on your router by visiting 192.168.0.1 with "admin" as your user name and no password.

You need admin access if you want to check your access logs (and check to see if they are turned on) and be able to set up WEP or WPA password log-in. Your WAN stats should show some machine identifier for each log-in - once you figure out which one you are, you should be able to identify intruders.

Check your router manufacturer's website as well - they should have pdf manuals online that may show you their particular reset function if my reset instructions do not work for you.

Typically to log into a router, you type admin, 1234 as the password (unless you changed it). REALLY a good idea to password protect.

You can try looking under Start/Administrative Options/Event Viewer/Security and see if you see anything in there. I'm sure there's other ways.
