All the political crap is irrelevant. What Americans need to do is simply treat each other with a bit more respect. Rudeness and selfishness seemed to have become the national sport. Any American highway or street (I'm referring to drivers), workplace, or school are prime examples. I do NOT mean this from a spiritual or religious viewpoint; rather, this is basic common sense. I cringe when I hear nonsense like "United We Stand." Nothing could be further from the truth.

For starters we need to read up on and study the issues facing our country rather than listening to the TV or some talk-radio sound bytes. I think for myself, and try to get both sides of every debate. Then I make my political decisions based on what's good for our country rather than what looks like it will benefit me personally.

Vote for a third party candidate in the next election. The two major parties have screwed things up so badly that just about any third party couldn't help but be an improvement.

My most recent effort was to inform myself before the last election about the candidates and vote accordingly. It worked.

Implement a sterilization for welfare checks program. Any woman who has been over two years on welfare, and who already has a child, should have her tubes ligated in order to continue living on the dole.

Get rid of Bush. In fact, get rid of all Republicans.
And while you are at it, tell all Americans to turn down their internal voice volume control :)
Also, I must add, start reconsidering the USA's imperialist foregin policy. Enemies in increasing numbers are lining up to challenge it, which is both self- and globally-destructive.
