I think every age has it's akward periods. I do think you become more aware of it as a teen. Peer pressure and all that. In my twenties and thirties my akward stage was trying to balance a family while having a career and a life of my own. The forties were kinder, I really felt sure of myself then. Now 50 I'm facing the future of retirement and evaluating my career again as I feel I want to have some meaning to my life. Menopause throws you some akward moments as you find that you have no control over hot flashes where and when they will happen. Kind of liike being a teen again! God knows what my akward 60 delima will be.

It started about 3 years of age and has continued for the last 34 years. I'm hoping that middle-age will kick in so I can have a mid-life crisis and not give a dern!

seems like I have always been awkward. I never really fit in, most times I am just there waiting for the time to leave. I run to a different beat and don't like to mingle much. An outcast...sigh.
