I know that nobody will ever know for sure. To me, the big bang seems like a primative theory and I'm not really a religious person.

I agree that creation beliefs are not scientific theories, as a few of you have stated.

There is another theory out there called the 'big crash' where the universe is created from two other universes or just gas clouds crashing into one another. I read into it a little bit, but found I don't really care that much how the universe was formed because it is all ultimately unprovable. The universe you see when you look up into the sky is not what's really out there. The distances are so great, you can look into the sky and see something that happened 79 years ago right next to something that happened 1000's of years ago. Scientists try to judge the age of the universe from the different perspectives, but it is a little unrealistic, considering you can never actually know where anything IS at this moment itn time.

"god" isn't a scientific theory. Neither are any of the creation myths in books such as the bible, quran, or anything else.

You may think the Big Bang is a "primitive" theory, but there is considerable observational and experimental evidence to support it. Of all of the theories of the origin of the universe, it's the only one that has stood the test of time, and been confirmed thousands of times by observation and experiment. Though we still lack many details, the overall gist of the Big Bang theory *IS* correct, demonstrably so. There are no other theories that have the support of observation and experiment. Period.

Big Bang is "Primative"? When it is built on complicated and careful observations and calculations.
How about: The creation took place on the November 13th, 1942, the Bible being created at 2:10 am and the whole job being finished at 4:20 am. Anything that contradicts this idea was impressed in place at that time, including memories of people who are apparently older. Prove it wrong.

To my knowledge, the big Bang is the only theory of creation. Even the Bible supports this theory with "Let there be light" being the big bang.

There are othe theories that it was never created but always existed but they have little supporting evidence.

The "God" thing isn't a scientific theory. The "Big Bang" is the currently accepted theory.

There was a book awhile back, 'The Big Bang Never Happened', by Eric something or other. He makes a pretty good case for a steady state universe. Of course, he's out of favor right now. Hawking says it was a bang, as did Einstein. These guys are primitive???

Well, I know for sure, it was God, how do I know? look at the world, yourself, yeah you probably say you came from your parents, as we all did, but who created us in that form, God, God created all good things,
