-I have a router (T-Com Speedport W 700V)
-My connectivity window is showing a number of other secuity enabled connections ( I can connect to other networks)
-My own connection is not detectable, not even appearing on the list- although I can access the internet now directly with a cable from my laptop to the router.
-I have tried restarting, unplugging, repairing, have set up all the points in the configuation (as I can access the net now), the WLAN light is active on my router as well.

What is wrong??

thanks.

double check to make sure that the network name is really what you think it is. Sometimes it gets reset to a default name and you have it right in front of you, you just don't realize it.

What Duffnick said. Setting your router to not broadcast the SSID is actually a good way to help secure your wireless network because no one can see it. It does mean that you have to remember what you called it so that you can log into it.

Are you on a home network?? You may have to name the network you're on for it to show up. The wizard may help you. Try naming your computer and network.

Make sure the router is set to broadcast it's SSID otherwise you won't see it.
