I don't enjoy talking with a friend on the phone?

She calls almost every day, and monopolize's the conversation. She will not shut up, to be blunt. [: I always end up saying, after ten minutes, "Sorry, I have to go...bye.". She isn't a friend who I can really talk to about her bad habit of always monopolizing the conversation, so, yeah. What should I do really?

if she's really your friend , i think that she'll understand if you tell her to cool down. tell her you just don't like talking on the phone OR don't take her calls_ i don't really like talking to my friends on the phone much anyway.

Screen your calls. Use your caller ID. Don't pick up or return her calls. Tell her you have extremely busy and just haven't had time for 20 minute phone calls.

ive been there too either play a sport and say you have to go practice or just come out adn tell her to her face (or over the phone) adn if she flips and says she doesnt want to be ur friend anymore than if u really dont like her it shouldnt be a loss

maybe, you could tell her that you dont really have time for such long phonecalls, and your parents dont really appreciate that she calls so much and disrupts you while you're busy. or you could ignore her calls. but mostly, you should talk to her about it and tell her that you cant talk on the phone longer than five to ten minutes.

she probably just wants attention but you can let voice mail get her if its a cell phone or get an answering machine if home phone and not take the call a few times and she will get tired of that.
