No it is the humor of the intelligent, when done right it is an art form of dry-witted humor in which the receiver must think about what was said before realizing they were put down.

No, sometimes it's very funny....as long as it's not causing too much pain at someone else's expense. I, myself, am a frequent dispenser of sarcasm.
