Finding out when you ovulate is really important, and you want to do the babydance for a couple of days before, the day of, and the day after you ovulate. This site http://www.fertilityfriend.com/ is a really good site to help you determine your most fertile times.
Make sure you quit smoking and any recreational drugs (that is if you do any of these), it will not only help increase you fertility, but when you do get pregnant you don't have to worry about harming the baby before you even find out you are pregnant.
Cutting your caffeine intakes down to the equivalent of 3 cups of coffee and drinking lots of water also helps with increasing fertility levels.
Also taking a pre-conception multi-vitamin with folic acid is a good idea to make sure you are getting enough of the things you body needs.
I've also heard that drinking at least half a cup of green tea a day can help.

Good Luck, I hope this helps!

Use ovulation predictors. You can buy them cheap and in bulk at early-pregnancy-tests.com. Chart your temperature. It is very annoying to chart but very helpful. Make sure you're having sex every other day starting a few days before you ovulate. You want the boys to be waiting for the egg ... if the egg pops before the boys swim up, it starts to age and "old" eggs have trouble maintaining viability. Take vitamins, especially folic acid. Eat right, don't drink, all that stuff ...go see the doctor for a checkup. If you've been trying for a year (6 months if you're 35+) ask about testing or fertility meds. It's frustrating but worth it! Good luck!

eat healthily and start to take folic acid. Work out when your most fertile and have intercourse then to optimise your chances of conception. It can take couples 12mths to fall pregnant so try and not worry about it to much it will happen when the time is right.
good luck
