I am bisexual and when I came out to my mother, she told me that my sexuality wasn't "valid" . she said that it wasn't sincere, and that i'm either a lesbian or straight. but that she thought i was going through a "phase". beacuse i've liked and dated alot of guys before.
and also alot of my friends are really conservative and i've heard more than one of tem say that "bisexuals are sluts" how can i convince them that my preference is valid (and not slutty)?

You don't need to convince anyone! You did all that you need to do by being honest with yourself, and those that you care about. Continue to stay true to yourself, and others will come around if they really care about you.

Wow, your mom isn't very supportive, is she?
I used to think I was bisexual but, over time and through experience, I personally realized I was just curious. I now identify as straight. Sexuality develops and may or may not change over time. Maybe you will change and maybe you will not, that isn't important right now.
It is hard but it really doesn't matter what other people think as long as you accept yourself. In some ways, you are ahead of the curve because some people live for years and years trying to "change" a sexuality they find unacceptable.
She is probably scared of having a bisexual daughter and wants to deny what you are telling her. Scared for many reasons, what others will think, for how others may treat you, because of religious reasons etc. You also can't change what others think, just stand up for yourself when appropriate and thats it.

Be strong and good luck

You can't convince her. You have only to be true to yourself. Your mother and friends are either ignorant, prejudiced or both towards sexual orientations other than hetero/straight.

If in fact you are bisexual . . . I don't know how old you are, so it might be that you are not 100% sure yet . . . it may mean you have to find friends that are non-judgmental and accept you for who you are.

Good luck and be true to yourself.

That's all hoopla (gibberish). You are you.... and it doesn't matter that you are bi or straight. What matters is that you are yourself, you are happy. Oh, FORGET what people say about bisexuals being sluts....

Just live your life true to yourself...You may never get them to understand your sexuality..But as long as you are happy with you then it dosen't matter.

Yup... what they said .. ^^^
You came out to "them" (your mom?) and did what you had to do. If they don't believe you that's their problem.
