Your PC is most probably slowing down because as you save files to it those files become fragmented. This means part of the file is written to a certain space on the hard drive and part of it to a different space. The more a computer is used, the more files get fragmented and the more your hard drive has to hunt around for these fragments to make a whole file. Thus the best way to speed up the computer to its original speed is to defragment the hard drive by going into the control panel - performance and maintenance - and chose to defragment your files.

I would Run Disk Cleanup and Disk Defragmenter which is in system tools. In order to go their click start, programs, accessories, system tools, and then run those hopefully that will increase the speed. I do that to my computer and it keeps it running smooth.
