I'm just wondering why nobody uses it. Some people are in need of a spell check, but they refuse to use it. Does anybody know why?

It could be that they want to be the first to answer, but I've noticed this problem in questions that have been asked as well. It's not limited to answers. It can't possibly be a speed thing.

Yes, I've noticed it, too. It can't be because they want to be first to answer because after you answer you can go back and edit your answer and use it then. I think it's laziness and proper spelling just isn't that important to some people.

I think some people want to be the first to answer and using spell check takes another second.

Here are some of the reasons:

They think they know how to spell.
They just don't care.
It's too much trouble.
Force of habit.
