Hasnt anyone bothered to check. Ive met him and his family. Ive Read his book which obviously most of the people on here have not

Here are some facts
Barack Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to Barack Hussein Obama, Sr. (born in Alego, a village in Nyanza Province, Kenya) and Ann Dunham (born in Wichita, Kansas). His parents met while both were attending the East-West Center of the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where his father was enrolled as a foreign student.
Yes many of Baraks relatives are muslim. He has a muslim name he got from his father. But he claims christianity as his religion. He half Kenyan half white non of that is American black or arab. PERIOD!!!! get over it people.

Thank you for enlightening people. It won't make a difference with those who use skin color, gender and/or religion as a criteria to support or not support a candidate.
Kennedy initially had a difficult time running because he was Catholic.

EDIT FOR MARK: Unlike your prez, he was ELECTED!

You forgot to tell me his favorite color & zodiac sign!! I thought you had some real informative stuff. He seems like a charming charismatic man.....so am I, but you don't want me as President!!

I don't have enough experience....but wait ....I just read that no experience was a plus!!

Being black doesn't make him a better or worse candidate. I won't vote for someone named Buddy either just cuz that's my name & would be a cool thing to have a Pres w my name....

McCain has some decent ideas, but doesn't get my vote cuz I'm a veteran too.

Come on folks....you wonder why we get the leaders we get? Let's make em earn it...really earn our votes.

What are your goals & how will you achieve them....& are they things you (the candidate has a shot at accomplishing?)

I'll promise to abolish the Federal Income Tax, provide free health care to everyone, repeal all excise taxes, have all of our troops stationed anywhere in the world home in 90 days, offer interest free loans to attend any college anywhere to everyone, destroy all of the nuclear weapons we have, ( what else do you want?)

Sounds great doesn't it? I might even vote for ME.

Is it plausible? In our dreams, but if I say it often enough and look good enough doing it people WILL vote for me......

Edit for anyone still whining over/reliving 2000.....I voted for Gore, the election was close, Gore LOST. Bush WAS elected...choose a battle that's not already over & I'm w ya!!

Well, I already knew all of that but a Kenyan is black. His name is why people think he is Arab. Most people do not think about a Muslim name they do not think anyone but a Middle East person would have a name like Obama.I think his name is what will kill his election chances bacause it is such a close name as Osama. You are right people should check the facts but it is the racism thing that causes most of the ramblings.I also know his policies and that is why he would not get my vote.

OK, so we should let a liberal Lawyer who has little Legislative experience and a Background specializing in Constitutional Law take over the Executive Branch because of what qualifications?
He is Happa Haoli and a Christian with a broken family background!

As El Presidente's constituents would say-No crello yo!

Ok, so if I've got their birthdays correct here is what I think..... Barack although a Leo sun has his moon in Taurus and venus in Cancer Michelle a Capricorn has her moon in Pisces and venus in Pisces Sooooo, my conclusion...... Moon signs which rule emotions are rather compatible Venus signs which relates to love etc are very compatible Plus.....Barack's moon is an earth sign to match Michelle's sun sign so there will be some connection there too. Thanks and ttfn :-))

I don't give a damn about the man's religion, or even if he has one. What I care about, is his politics. Obama is anti-gun, pro-gay, pro-abortion, and pretty much a liberal right down the line. He seems to be against pretty much everything I believe in. Race and religion has nothing to do with it. There's no way I'm voting for a man like that.

In short, nobody cares about Barack Obama enough to invest the time to know him. He is another black candidate that doesn't stand a chance of winning.

You mean he's not African-American!? That he's a first-generation American? Like millions of other Americans?

Wow. That might just get him a few million sympathy votes from other children of immigrants. That's pretty smart of him, when you think about it.

Did he place his hand on the bible like every other congressman for the last 100 years or the Koran? Have you bothered to check that out?

Well, I do know that he went to a Muslim school throughout elementary. Was he taught to hate the infidels? If he became President, he could nuke us all in an instant if he wanted to.
