I really like the name Sydney for a girl, traditionally it was a boys name and spelt Sidney, but it's much nicer as a girls name and spelt with a Y

I have always spellt it Sidney - so your spelling would provide the possibility of interesting conversations when people ask you if you have ever been there, or if your mum or dad has - and who knows where you could go from there.... up to you, and the other person you are talking to of course. The important thing is that you like it
