I have a question that I have been thinking about and cant figure out what the answer is: How did thomas more and his book about a utopia affect the renaissance period. please help me!!

It was the new way of thinking, as far as I know.. Thomas More and Erasmo de Rotterdam, as some others, were in this new "way of thinking", they critized the system and proposing a new way were the "old fashion" removed itself for a revolutionary conception of men and society.
Utopia its the "dream" or the proposal of this new type of idea, its like saying to the world, "hey, if we do this we might build a better world".
Besides also in the renaissance period, as you could probably know, its all about bringing back the old days (Roman and Greek culture); the book Utopia, its based on Plato' s book "The Republic", wich also describes an ideal society to live. The dream of a better life and a better world.
