your daughter in this dream can be either symbol for (part of) yourself, or just your daughter. I interpret it is about your daughter first: you are fighting danger, fighting fear of death, illness. Seems to me like a dream of a normal healthy person, and a good mother. It also sounds as if it comes from a stressfull time. Both worms and snakes are symbol for mental agression from people around you. You killing them means you want to protect her, and - obviously - the lack of succes in killing them might indicate you get hurt by things people say or do to your daughter lately. Does this ring some bells? Are there things in communication that give you stress?
Might very well be that the agression took the shape of bugs, worms and snakes is pointed to yourself, not your daughter. Trie protecting yourself (and her) from negative influence, find out who does what to you and her, that makes you stressed.
And this might help: next time you dream this, ask the snakes and the worms why they are doing this. So don't kill them, but ask them for help. They will then turn from hazard into a helpfull present (really!) You can visualize this also without dreaming it, maybe the answer is not so hidden and reveils itself even then. Once having dealt with the problem in your dream, you'll deal better with the problem (or just stressfull events) that the dream symbolized.
Sleep well!

Not sure totally, but take this for want its worth. I have been taught that dreams usually indicate areas of our life that we are dealing with in the present and its our self trying to figure it out. Familiar people don't usually represent them self but what we associate them with.
It could possible be that you are feeling out of control in a situation in your life that you feel you should be. But everything you try seems to be failing.
