It is definitely worth a watch. It is quite slow to get going but they've taken into consideration the fact that Rocky is much older and retired so it takes a while to build the story up. I'd say it's not as good as the first 2 films but worth checking out and a good end to the whole Rocky franchise.
Also check out Pauly - he looks like he's been kept in a Tupperware box for the last 10 years as he hasn't aged at all since the last film!

To be honest with you, I watched it saturday night and the movie is more about the life after boxing and the lost of his partner, and him being lonely, rather than the boxing.

The film doesn't have the same depth as the previous rocky films, in terms that the film doesn't protray any deep believable reason why rocky should fight again.

Also the film only briefly goes over the training to the build up to match.

Overall there's some good bits, i would wait for it to come out on DVD and rent it out.

good luck

More than half of the movie is all about Rocky's traumas and his son hates him for being who he is, he's also locked in the past and can't get over it . . . it's pretty slow. But then he starts preparing for the fight because some guys in ESPN had a simulated fight and he won, so he starts training just like in the first Rocky movie and then there's the fight. It's OK, but the first part is a little boring.

If you liked the first one then you'll definately enjoy this one. I know it goes against what we've all been taught but Sly does act very well in the movie as does Geraldine Hughes. Fight scenes are first rate, yes it was a bit slow at the start but I liked it still.

If you think of the film as one about how a guy deals with grief and moves on with his life and not a boxing film then you'll see it as a genuinely first rate movie.

Yes it is good and also a good ending to the series after the poor 5th film. Hopefully he won't make a 7th.

I haven't seen it, but the forst film wasn't worth watching, so what makes you think that this will be any better than the execrable previous offerings?
