If you're in social studies, then regarding your question, the thing you need to learn is that NOBODY APPOINTED YOU JUDGE AND JURY!
The point of social studies is to learn more about the world's various societies, as well as how to live and work within our own society. For you to say "It's just wrong," just shows that you need to learn to open your mind and stop judging others for something that is none of your business.
Some of the best teachers I ever had were Gay. If you're truly smart, you'll learn from your teacher rather than judging him or her. And, I'm willing to bet you that you have friends in your class who are Gay, and you don't even know it.
What if you were hurt, and the doctor who was going to treat you in the E.R. seemed "Gay" to you? Would you refuse to allow them to treat your injuries because they might be Gay?
Your teacher is more than just his or her sexual preference; this is a person who has been around longer than you, knows more of the world than you, has worked WAY more than you, and probably has some good stuff to teach you, if you're smart enough to stow your childish, judgemental attitude, grow up a bit, and GET A GRIP!
Not everyone is going to fit into your neat little assumptions about who and what they should be. The sooner you accept that, the better off you'll be as a person.

gay people can't help it there are now scientific studies out that prove that gays are genetically predisposed to being gay; also think of this God made them that way because even though I'm straight, I do have gay friends and I wouldn't have it AN-NY OTHER WAY!. My gay friends are some of the sweetest people that I have ever met in my life and I am BLESSED to have them in my life. One of my friends is even a good enough of a friend for me to consider him as family. And what does it matter if you social studies teacher is gay or not as it is none of your business.

Okay, first off, there is nothing wrong with being a homosexual. We are all different in our own ways. The world would be an even more populated place if people weren't gay.
People are homosexual because they're uncotrollably attracted to the same sex. Its like asking someone why they're white. They just are and no one can change it. Scientists are still trying to figure out what makes someone gay and why.
If your SS teacher is gay then good for him/her!

Life lesson 101
Before you judge someone, walk a mile in their Manolo Blahniks.
Some things are the way they are because that's the way they are. Some people think it's wrong to be dark skinned or light, Black or White, Jewish or German, fat or slim, very short or very tall.
Life is not about being right or wrong. It's about being accepting of people and their choices, beliefs and limited perceptions (like yours).
If you don't understand what I just said, ask your parents or guardians to explain it. If they don't understand... take them to your social studies teacher and ask him to explain. I'm sure he'll have some enlightening thoughts on your opinion of him.

Why are people ignorant or stupid? It's just wrong.
Also I think this questioner might be a bit of both.
~~~~
Grow up, people are people.
Is it wrong to have brown hair or green eyes? Is it wrong to be left handed or right handed?
Is it wrong to like chocolate more than vanilla?
Is it wrong to have different beliefs/faiths?
Is it wrong to wear different clothes?
Is it wrong to have different jobs?
Wrong is an interesting word to use. It shows an inner feeling you get when you think about two people of the same gender sharing their bodies.
Where does that come from and do you feel the same way when you see two heterosexual people who you think are unattractive kiss???
Wrong in what sense...the slang "that's wrong", the religious "that's wrong" or the echo of those around you???
I think eating marshmallows is "wrong". The idea makes me want to vomit...but if you like them...you can have mine too.
For me being gay is just the way I am...and I think it is just Right.
Why are you asking such questions and making comments about your social studies teacher on this forum?
First off, you need to stay out of the personal affairs of others (ie you social studies teacher), and secondly, you are free to have your opinions, but you also need to respect the opinions of those who disagree with you.
It's not wrong but your question is wrong.You obviously know absolutely nothing of the gay community..When you grow up I hope you will see how this type of hate mongering leads to hate crimes and ignorance.Please don't be another one of the low life scum that believes that type of nonsense
it is their choices it is not mine because I love my girl and it is not wrong to make a choice just let it be and worry about your social studies homework instead of your teacher's sexual preference or you will be calling him gay for failing you
